WHERE DO I BEGIN...?!?

CHRISTMAS 2009

The boys and I started our Christmas visiting at Gramma Dean's house on Wednesday. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to make dinner on Christmas eve so we spent some time with her then. I think that this is the first time that I have stayed the night at Gramma's since Grandaddy died in 96! The boys and Gramma enjoyed our time together. Aunt Beth came down to exchange gifts with us as well. It was overdue, well time spent.

Since our Owens family Christmas was cancelled due to weather we decided to meet up together on Christmas eve. The boys had a blast visiting with "the girls". It was great to get together with the family, even if for a little while.

Since Josh and Larry had to go down the road on Christmas Eve, we let the boys open a few presents and we gave them their gifts. We just tried to make the best out of the situation that we were given. We can't predict the weather.

Reindeer Food! Making sure that Santa finds his way!! And milk & cookies

PRICELESS!

SANTA CAME!!!

Triston wasted no time...he dug right in!

Gormitis!!

Triston was so excited! He woke up ready to go!

Trenton had to eat fun dip as soon as he opened his stocking! For the first half hour that is all he wanted to do!!

I don't even know!!

Trenton was in rare form! The faces that he was making, I don't even have an explanation for!

After opening presents at the house, Josh and Larry made it home in time to go to Muzzy's for dinner. We usually go earlier, but once again because of icy conditions we couldn't get out of the driveway for awhile. The boys got their bellies full and opened their gifts.

Triston was a king in the Christmas program at church. Trenton was supposed to be a cow, but refused to stand up when he was supposed to. The program was cancelled the week before Christmas because of the weather but the show must go on! Triston did a great job and sang his song well.

HELP!!!!

I know that there are alot of pics to choose from but I need help. Pick out the pictures that you like the most and what sizes you want and I will have them made. I couldn't decide so I bought the copyright and we can have them developed anywhere. I have my favorites but you may like something different. There is a slight problem with the cd so I am not sure if I will be able to have pics developed before christmas!! But you will get them, I promise!!

Snow Play

The boys pestered me for hours to let them go play in the snow, so finally I bundled them up and told them to dig tunnels!! The snow literally went up to Trenton's waist. It was hilarious watching them try to walk through the mounds of snow. They didn't last long but it was funny! The poor goats even had a hard time wading through the snow. What a great day to do nothing. We baked cookies, did laundry, played games.....And it looks like more days of this because we will have to wait for spring thaw to dig us out of Heide Cooper!!!

O CHRISTMAS TREE....

The search for the perfect tree, ended with one of the biggest Christmas trees I have ever seen, other than Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!! We had to get a ladder to put the lights on the top and the star. The boys decorated the entire thing, other than the lights. They did a great job and of course all the ornaments were pretty much all in the same place. It was fun and the tree is mostly for them anyway.

Momma's so Proud!

Triston also had a great day! I did miss his first match and they tell me that he tried really hard but the little boy that he faced had been wrestling for three years and was a little bigger. The second match, Triston tried harder than I have ever seen. He was grunted and rolling and pushing and I was so proud of him. He did loose by points but he won in effort in my book.

Trenton's First Match

What a day! Full of about a million different emotions. Today the boys had a wrestling scrimmage and I was late because we had a function at the church that I had already obligated to. By the time I got to Petersburg, Trenton refused to wrestle and Triston had already wrestled and got pinned. So, I was a little apprehensive about rushing around. They went through all the kids and they were going to wrestle again with different match ups. This time Trenton was ready to go!! He was paired up with a little boy named, Lane. Trenton loved that because he is obsessed with bull riding and we have watched 8 seconds a gazillion times. Anyway, Trenton went three rounds and scored 5 points. He lost by 4! This was his first ever match, ever!!! Did I mention that the boy he wrestled was a first year wrestler but he was SIX years old!! I was so proud of him. At one point Trenton started to pucker up and tear up because he was so frustrated because he couldn't move. He refused to shake the little boys hand at the end, well of course you know that didn't go over to well with mamma!! After fierce threatening, he shook the boys hand. To see this little boy.......it was amazing!
