READY TO GO!!

Well, the weather may not be as ready as we are but we head out Friday for a week at the beach. The boys, mom, Cathy, and myself are all heading to Myrtle Beach. Beth, Kenny, Emma, and Tammy are all going down the same week but stay in their own rooms. Well, Emma and Tammy stay at Emma's mom's and Beth and Kenny stay in the same resort right next door. I am hoping that the weather does hold off so that we can enjoy some relaxing time in the sun. We have decided to break the trip down in two days so that the boys do not get too crazy in the car. I also think that the adults in the car don't want to be bottled up for 8 hours. I am just hoping and praying that they weather is good! I can deal with the rain in spurts but not the whole time. I guess we will have to find a spa or movie theater! The weather is something that we cannot control so no use in getting in a tizzy.

Here is a picture of the waterpark that is inside of the resort that we stay at. I am so glad that we found this place. It is a nice gated resort with plenty of stuff for the kids to do. The beach access is right there and the pools and playground are all right there. We have plenty of stuff to do to keep us busy. But I am just looking forward to relaxing and spending some time with my family and friends. So keep posted for some pics coming next weekend or so. The only bad thought is that when I get back I only have 2 weeks left and it is back to work!! I can't believe it is going to be that time again. Hope everyone is having a great summer and talk to you soon!

Beating the HEAT!!

The sun is hot and everyone is starting to feel a little better so what better way to beat the heat then on a slip-n-slide or sprinkler. Since swimming lessons didn't seem to work out this year we decided to stay around the house and play in the water. Triston just doesn't seem that bothered about the water at all. Trenton, on the other hand, will play in it for hours and nothing seems to bother him. Except the ear plugs that he won't keep in his ears. Because of the tubes I am supposed to keep plugs in his ears when int the water but I don't know how to keep him from taking them out. Any suggestions?

Triston got a slip-n-slide for his birthday so we decided to pull it out this week. The boys didn't really get the concept of running and sliding but instead running and falling. Triston didn't want to get water in his face so he tried his best to stay on his feet. Trenton was falling and splashing all over the place. I decided to sit this one out since there was a 110 pound weight limit. And we all know that I supersede that amount!!

Triston just hanging out in the winner's circle while Trenton did all the running and falling.

Triston watches and laughs as Trenton loses his balance, Again!

The boys got tired of the slip-n-slide so we hooked up the sprinkler. Trenton ran all over the place.

While Triston took a back seat view!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MURMUR!!

On Monday Cathy celebrated her 49th bday. I am sure that she has no problem with me blasting that all over the Internet!! Anyway, one more year to go until she hits the big 50! We just got a couple little cakes from Food Lion and had cake and ice cream here at the house. Of course, my two boys had to be right in center of all the action and help blow out the candles!

I recycled the candles that we used for Triston's 4th bday and Larry's 50th bday and then added four more little ones. Total: 49!

Triston and Trenton help Murmur blow out her candles and then lick the icing!

DARK CLOUD!!!

Well I haven't been able to post anything for two reasons:
1. Apparently my internet is down due to an upgrade from microsoft. There is a glitch in the system that won't allow XP users who have zone alarm connect.
2. Everyone in my household is taking turns being sick so therefore there aren't any pictures to show.

Last Monday, I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with strep throat and bronchitis. They gave me a real strong antibiotic and I was feeling great! Friday night I got some kind of flu type bug and spent the night and the next day in the bathroom (TMI!!!) Then we took Triston to the emergency room on Saturday morning because he had been up for three nights coughing really bad. He has tonsillitis and laryngitis.

Swimming lessons are a flop!! Triston just doesn't want to do it! He says, "I don't love it , I don't like it." I am afraid to push because he likes the water, but on his terms!

Anyway, so a special prayer for all of us. We need the germs to go bye-bye!! Did I mention that now Josh is down in the dumps. Like I said we are all taking turns!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

I hope that everyone reading this had a wonderful 4th of July! Overall, we had a pretty good time but the weather sure wasn't cooperative. We headed to the river lot Thursday evening to get things set up and to help Brandy and Charlie get situated. Unfortunately, they had some trouble with their camper. Apparently they had a loose screw in their electric adapter hook up causing it to singe and they had no power to their camper, so I guess they were glad the weather wasn't hot! We ordered pizza for dinner Thursday night and just hung out by the campfire and talked. Pat arrived sometime around 9:00 and the boys played cards and we called it a night. Josh, Pat, Albert, Charlie, and a few of his friends, decided to float down the river. Even though it was raining when they left, they gave it a try. Me, the boys, Brandy, and Blake tried to make the best out of it. When the rain broke we took the boys to the river to throw rocks and get in the water, but it was a little too cold. They we ate lunch and took long naps: ALL of us!! The men made it back sometime around 4:00 and we got ready for our cookout. The rain had stopped but the campsite was a muddy mess. We ate and then had a wonderful fireworks show. Charlie knew someone who owned the store in Inwood and got loads and loads of fireworks. I was amazed, I don't think that I have ever seen fireworks that close up before. And I am not talking about your bottle rockets or fountains, I mean the shot up in the air and exploded! It was COOL! Triston really was amazed. Because of the weather we sent Trenton home with Cathy. Saturday turned out to be a great day. We all got up and ate breakfast and then the Corbin's and Timbrook's headed to the river. The river was a muddy mess, but it didn't seem to bother the boys. Then we played at the playground and ate lunch. We started to clean up and head out after that. All and all we had a wonderful time!!

Best buds!! Triston and Blake played so well together! They really had a great time!

Brandy takes the boys out to see what the water feels like. On Friday it was clear as good be.

Blake just got a big kick out of slashing his mom. Triston thought it was funny too until.......

He was the one splashed! Was the water cold, Triston?

To occupy some time after dinner before our fireworks show, the boys let off some sparklers. This was Triston's first time with sparklers and he did really well and loved it!

Oh no! Where did my stick with fire (that is what he called it) go~

The fireworks were really awesome, I just loved watching the boys faces!

I am not too sure that Triston really knew what to think. The boom didn't bother him but he was really starting to get cranky!

Josh with a torch!! What a scary thought!

Everyone was all smiles!! What a great day when you can spend with family and friends!

Day 2 at the river was good for the weather, but the river was super muddy! The boys still had fun in the water, and so did Brandy!
Josh took his little man out in the water to get him wet!

Blake and Triston finished the day playing at the playground!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

Well, its official, Triston's educational career in the public school system will begin in September. We received news yesterday that Triston was accepted in the pre-K program at Romney Elementary School. Most of you know all the hassle and heartache that I have already been through with this when we were told that the program was opened to "at risk" children first (which meant income based). But I guess once again all that worrying for nothing! We also will start swimming lessons on Monday for two weeks.

Playing "Baby MaMa!"

One of Josh's dogs had puppies and had to go to the vet for an infection so it was up to everyone to pitch in and bottle feed the puppies for a few days. Triston and Trenton were first in line to help! They love these animals so much, they had to get that trait from their father! Trenton just didn't know what to do with himself because usually the dogs are to big for him to handle. They were both on cloud 9 helping out.

Hershey Park Trip

What a wonderful time we had yesterday at Hershey Park. The weather was beautiful, the company was great, and the boys had a blast. I am so thankful that mom talked us in to going with her on the church's yearly trip. I was a little, ok a lot, hesitant about taking a four year old and a 20 month old on a bus with 50 other people for over 2 hours but it worked out fine. We had to get up pretty early in the morning to get to mom's in time to catch the bus so the boys were a little drowsy getting going. The ride to the park didn't go the greatest. I was for sure that they would go back to sleep since we had to get up so early but they didn't. Triston couldn't decide where he wanted to sit. They watched a movie but where our seats were it was a little difficult to see so we had to keep switching places. Finally, Triston decided to sit on the floor in front of me and Trenton and play his hand held game. We arrived at the park and got ourselves together and headed out for a fun filled day. I don't think that there wasn't much of anything that we didn't get to do. First, we just went and rode a few rides and I was a little leery of allowing Trenton to ride the rides by himself, even though he met the requirements but I did let him ride one by himself and that was the last one because I nearly had a heart attack!! Triston of course didn't want it any other way, he rode as much as he could and made friends with others when Trenton couldn't ride. We ate some lunch and watched the seal show and went through the Zoo America. We are definitely going to have to make a trip to the zoo. We finished the day with a trip through the chocolate factory gift shop!

As you go into the park they have beams with height requirements so that the kids know which rides that they will be able to ride and the ones that they can't.

Our little kiss! Our miniature!

The first ride that we rode was the carousel, I tell you it went a little too fast for me. It gave me a headache because I can't deal with rides that spin. Roller coasters, no problem!

The boys had such a great time! Trenton would kick and scream, not to get on, but to get off. He just wanted to stay on every ride!

Hands down, the Frog Hopper, was Triston's favorite ride of the day. He must have rode it 20 times, this was also the ride I let Trenton ride by himself! I know what was I thinking!

The day was all together wonderful: great weather, great company, great food, & great gifts!

There as so many more photos that I could share, but I am sure that I have something around this house that needs to be done! Look for July 4th photos!!!
