February's project for school was to decorate the first letter of their first name. And of course Triston had to decorate the letter "T". I had a million ideas of what we could do but then I was at Walmart and they have these t-shirts that have different letters like d is for dinosaur, l is for lizard, etc. So I got the idea that we would decorate his "T" for tiger. We just painted it orange and put black stripes on it. The other ideas that I had would make the "T" more decorative but thise was simple, yet cool! We really enjoy doing these projects together, I am getting better at just letting Triston do whatever his creative little mind leads him to do and not what I think he should do.
Thanks For Visiting......

ONE FOR THE WIN COLUMN!!!
Triston got pinned the second match but by this time we were still on a high from the pin. He wrestled the same little boy that he has lost too every weekend but maybe we will get him at the home meet.

Tri-County
Triston's second wrestling tournament was on Sunday in Petersburg. There weren't near as many people at this tournament and Triston did improve. However, I was a little irritated because he could have won the first match. He went all three rounds and earned 10 points but lost by 9 points. The kid was just his size and didn't seem as experienced as his other competitors of last week. But Triston just looks around and doesn't pay much attention to what he is doing. I was really having to remind myself that he is only 4 and this is his first year. The second match went all three rounds as well and he lost by points again. He had this kid on his back several times, but just never pinned him. Maybe we will get this weekend in Moorefield. Of course, he will be wrestling the same kids again, probably.
Triston sure does put on a great game face. If you could only see the determination!
Dance Party
The kids were invited to a birthday party on Saturday night at the Expressions dance studio in Romney. It was a lot of fun and the boys had a really good time. They played various games with the omnikin ball, relays with foward rolls, the mini trampoline and then the finished up with some dancing and pinata. It was a lot of fun. Trenton was almost too little because he was having a hard time following directions but what else is new!!!
The played a game that we do with our kids sometimes with the big ball, and they run in a circle trying not to let the ball hit them. Triston took his turn and ran really fast, Trenton took his turn and ran right into the ball.

Groundhog Day
Man, was the groundhog right!! I had one of the wildest drives home today. It started out leaving James Wood Middle with the clouds getting dark. As I drove up the road it started to rain in Hayfield and then by the time I started up the mountain in Gore a little snow mixed in with the rain. By the time I hit Capon Bridge, it was just snow. Then the closer I got to the house the worse it got. By the time I got onto Heide Cooper, my road, I barley made it up the hill. The road was completely covered with snow, almost an inch. It was just really freaky to only travel 38 miles and hit that much different weather.
Anyway, Triston made a ground hog today at school in honor of Groundhogs Day and he was pretty proud. He has been doing so great the past couple of weeks. Yesterday him and I went to the movies to see Hotel for Dogs, it was really cute and he finally sat through his first movie. He has been four times but this was the first one in its entirety. If the month of February is good for him then we are going to go roller skating.

Our Star!
Triston's picture was in the paper posing with his medal. What a surprise, because we had no idea that it was going to be in there. There was a caption that read:
Hampshire Mat Club's youngest wrestler, Triston Timbrook shows off the medal he won at his first ever wrestling tournament in Keyser. Triston is the son of Josh and Debra Timbrook. He was so proud. They mispelled his name and he didn't actually "win" the medal but that's ok!
