FUN @ THE FAIR~

The Hampshire County Fair is this week so we decided to take the boys last night for a little while. I am so pleased to say that we had a really great time, no major meltdowns by anyone. We started out the evening eating at a little pizza shop in Augusta and then headed to the fair. There isn't a whole lot to write home about so all you looking at the pics thinking where is the fair be prepared. The only thing that happened was by batteries died in the camera so I was only able to take a couple of pics and half of them were of the back of the boys heads!! Oh well, the focus should be on the great behavior that was displayed by both of the boys!! They listened, waited in line, and were ready to go when we said it was time. I of course finished the evening with a caramel apple, with nuts, and the boys got some cotton candy. It was a great night and great fun!!

The boys are flying high!! It is great that Trenton is big enough to ride the rides with his brother

Of course, Trenton had to be the passenger.

Triston is really into his driving! Daddy has already been giving lessons! Watch out

What a great pic of the boys and an elephants butt!!

I am seriously thinking about installing one of these in the basement! I think a time out cage would work great. Do you think the Supernanny would approve?

RUB A DUB DUB!!!!!

After all their hard work outside mowing we had to come inside and get clean. The boys were trying to show me how their feet turned green from walking on the fresh cut grass. They were especially dirty today because they both spent a majority of the day outside, since the weather has been so nice. And my boys definitely don't care about walking around barefoot and stepping in whoever knows what.... but it didn't take long to get clean!

Triston playing Santa with the bubbles in the bath tub!

Trenton tried to do the same thing but as you can see he didn't get near as much bubbles on his face as his big bro did.

Triston never misses an opportunity to smile for the camera!

Trenton gives me a ROAR in his lion towel!!

Trenton REALLY gives a roar when Triston tries to put his hood up!

Daddy's Boys!

Josh thought that he was going to get by with mowing by himself....WRONG! The boys both love anything that moves and they both cried after him when he took off on the mower. Well after a couple times of begging and lower lip puckers the boys got their way and made it a little harder to maneuver. Triston sat right on the deck and Trenton got the seat with dad. I hope their love for mowing the grass stays the same because that will be a great job for them when they get older, but I am thinking that we may need to break out the push mower instead of the zero turn!! Just kidding! I tried to mow once with the zero turn and couldn't keep it straight for nothing and almost threw myself off of it. I really didn't mind mowing with the other riding mower but I guess this is a good excuse to get out of mowing. Josh says that I don't know how to drive anyway. The boys enjoyed their little ride, but it was short lived because Josh was only mowing the front yard and then it started to rain so it was time to get in and get bath's.

BLOCK PARTY!!!

As part of the southern baptist commission we sponsored a block party at church. As part of getting the gospel out the West Virginia southern baptist commission have put together a little trailer filled with all the goodies that you would need to host a block party. This is an entirely free event for the community. The hope is to reach all those non-believers and to bring people to the lord and find their salvation. It was a lot of fun and it looked like we had a great turn out. I volunteered to help so Cathy and Muzzy brought the boys up so that they could enjoy the fun. You had to register at the front and this gave you a ticket for one free popcorn, cotton candy, hot dog, and drink. There were also a couple of games set up where the kids could win little prizes (oriental trading type stuff) and there was a moon bounce and mini bouncer for the littler ones. There were also a couple of clowns that did face painting. It was a great time and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. A gospel group called Appalachia played the whole time and the games and food were stopped twice for the pastor to talk and for one of the band members to give there testimony. The kids had a great time, too. What a wonderful way to try to bring people closer to God! For no bigger than our church is, they do a great job of organizing such events that are always opened for the community.

Triston trying his luck at the noodle dart game. He finally got one on his third try! Way to go!

Both boys wasted no time to stand in line to throw the sponge at a clown! Trenton was just a little more eager. I think Triston was afraid that he was going to get in trouble because we are always telling them not to hit one another, especially in the face.

Trenton hitting the strike zone on the baseball pitch game. I think that he was a little close, but oh well.

Trenton trying out the mini bouncer. It was more like a trampoline with walls.

Both boys getting there arms painted. I guess they didn't want them on there checks.
Triston with his friend Kendra (Sissy is what everyone calls her) from church. She is a firecracker! I think that she gets rougher than the boys.

Triston and his friend Paul from church. We have met some really wonderful people at Covenant. I really hated no going to Duncan Memorial but this has been a great church for myself and the boys. Now if we could only convince Josh!

Trenton would just jump and fall. And then watch to see what the other kids were doing. He is in that stage right now, monkey see; monkey do!

Triston ended a wonderful afternoon with a sweet treat!! If you click on this pic, check out Triston's cheek. He was running upstairs and ran face first into the banister. I think that it might bruise by tomorrow. I guess we should be glad that the banister held and he didn't come tumbling down to the foyer.

Build-a-Bear Workshop

While at the Broadway at the Beach, I took the boys to the build a bear workshop where each one picked there own animal and they both picked a dog. Triston picked a husky and named him Cody. Trenton picked a rag type dog and named him ruff. It was so cute and so much fun. Just click on the pic in the collage to see it larger.

OUR TRIP TO THE BEACH!!!

We made it home safely from our week at the beach. First and foremost I need to say that we had a wonderful time! The weather was pretty good, only a few thunderstorms but none that changed our plans any. It was really wonderful to spend some good quality time with my mom and Beth. We decided to leave a day early and drive half way and then rest up. Well, I guess we should have known that it wasn't going to be a good trip when Trenton started out crying in Capon Bridge. We stopped n B'ville to pick up mom and then we drove until about 6:00 or so and got a room for the night. We woke up on Saturday morning and headed the rest of the way to the beach. Saturday was Triston's turn to be whinny! We arrived at the resort around 11:30 and was able to get right in even though check in is usually 2pm. We unloaded, and I don't know what we would do if we didn't have the Suburban because it was packed, and decided to head right to the beach! I couldn't wait to put my toes in the sand! We took turns during the week between the pool and the beach. A couple of the days it was so sticky and hot that we had to stay at the beach just to get a nice breeze. We had a couple of meltdowns, and I mean ALL of us but overall it was a great time! I am just sorry that it had to end. The drive home was pretty much the same as the way down. Triston was occupied with the "in flight" movie, but nothing seemed to occupy Trenton! I am seriously rethinking that middle of the night driving or flying for next year!! Anyway I hope that you enjoy some of the pics. I am having a hard time deciding which ones to blog. I only took about 250 pictures, literally!! Reality hit me in the face when I got home from the beach and in my stack of mail was my agenda for pre-school week at work! Boo-hoo!!!

It didn't take Trenton long to learn how to jump in the water! Of course he did have help, thanks Aunt Beth!!

Prime example of why we probably shouldn't have taught Trenton to jump in the pool, Triston was going to catch him!!!!

The resort has a great little playground and the boys had lots of fun. At night after dinner we usually took them out to the playground to play. Triston and Trenton made some friends while at the playground and they chased each other all over the place.

More pool fun!

Trenton helped me bury Triston in the sand! Triston was a trooper but he didn't want to linger too long!

The boys and I off to the beach!!

Considering how horrible the two days of swimming lessons went, Triston did so good in the ocean. He would go out and jump the waves but once he got wiped out, it was off to the room or pool, he was over the ocean for the day.

Beach Beauties!!! It was great to spend some quality time with Beth. We don't get much of that anymore!

I guess Trenton is part ostrich! He was putting his head in the hole someone had dug that had filled up with water!

Trenton didn't seem to scared of the water either. He would lay in the waves and crawl around on the sand. The only time he got annoyed was when he got sand on his thumb!! Because he is a thumb sucker and I guess it didn't taste as good with sand on it!

My night out to dinner with the girls, and Kenny, at Drunken Jack's in Murel's Inlet. The food was pretty good but we had to wait almost 2 hours for a table. That is the main reason the boys stayed home! Thanks to mom and Cathy who watched them so I could go out.

Trenton posing for the camera before going to the boardwalk.

Triston and his new bode!! Posing outside one of the tshirt shops.

Our last night at the beach! We went and stuffed ourselves at Crabby Mikes!!

I have so many more pics that I would love to share but it has taking me forever to do this.
