Yesterday evening Romney Elementary had an open house so we decided to take Triston so that he could see his new school. I am a first timer so I didn't really know what to expect but it was really nice. They had free hot dogs, juice boxes, and each kid received a free book. We were able to meet Triston's teacher and get some "preschool" paper work. I, of course, was a little teary eyed! This is the best thing for Triston and I know that he will truly enjoy it but I just can't believe that my little baby is going to school. I guess this is just the beginning of firsts! (I don't know if that is a word) The teacher is making house calls next week to meet the children on their own turf and then next Friday morning they are having a pre-K open house so that the kids can see their classrooms and tour the elementary school. And then on September 8th everyone needs to say a little prayer for Triston has he starts his 14 year (excluding college) educational career. I think that you better pray for me and Ms. Julie(his teacher), too!!!
I can't wait to share all of the wonderful moments that Triston is going to have in school.
Mommy & Triston getting ready to go to Open House!!
Triston proud of his new book! It was a dinosaur book.
Triston standing in front of his school sign! Romney Elementary, home of the BULLDOGS!!!

Here are a few pics from the fair when Triston and I were on the bumper cars. Thank goodness he is no where close to getting his drivers license.
