After the parade we went back into the church to thaw out and decorate gingerbread houses. It was a lot of fun, the boys did a really good job on their house. Triston liked decorating the gingermen the best. It was a great time!! Thanks Duncan for the wonderful fun and fellowship!
Thanks For Visiting......

Happy Thanksgiving!!
We sure do have a lot to be thankful for...
There is just too much to even mention but on a day of Thanksgiving I am so thankful for the wonderful family and friends that I have. I am blessed with good health and kids with good health, most of the time! Even though they both do have bronchitis right now. It was great to get together and have a wonderful meal. Muzzy's pumpkin roll is to die for!! We went to Josh's grandmother on Thursday and then I went and spent the day with my mom and dad today. I am going to dad's and his new girlfriend, Karen, house on Saturday afternoon. It has been so great to have some time off and just relax. I was a little grumpy yesterday but I guess that it was just the reality of another year older!!! But I guess that I am over it now. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much....because I know that I did!!
Triston posing and showing off his Pilgrim hat that he made in class. He truly is a natural!!!

WHAT I AM NOT GOING TO DO!!!!
Well you all know that my birthday is Thursday and being that it is Thanksgiving day we are going to wait and celebrate mine and Tammy's bday together on Dec. 6th. But since I haven't blog in awhile and I never put these pics up (and you will soon now why) I decided to just give everyone a little treat. These pictures are from Emma's birthday when we went to Sweet's. I will probably regret this later but if I can't laugh at myself then there is a problem. We did have a great time but it took me a week to recover. Enjoy the pics and I hope that everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. I am sure that I will have lots of pics to share after this weekend. Love you all!!!! And I am thankful to have the wonderful friends and family that I do.

Happy Birthday Paul!!
On Saturday evening the boys and I went to a birthday party for Paul, a little boy from our church. We had a great time. It was at the local McDonald's and the kids had a blast. They played a couple of fun games and all the kids received a happy meal and cake and ice cream. I may have to really think out this birthday party idea. It was only $50 for 10 guests and this included ten happy meals, a cake and ten ice cream cups. Plus they played games, got stickers, hats and funny novelty type toys. And the greatest thing.....someone elses MESS to clean up! I know that this is just wishful thinking because we have started a tradition with the boys birthday parties and they are way too much fun to forget about. But having someone else clean up the mess is almost tempting...of course I said almost. I hope everyone is doing well and I am so geared up for the holiday season. I can't wait to spend time with everyone and eat lots of good food!!!!

As you can tell, Triston had a great time. That hat is something else!!!

VAPHERD
Michele and I attended a pe convention over the weekend at the Hyatt in Reston, VA. It was fun, we got a lot of ideas and a lot of useful information for our health classes. We were in agreeance that the first and last sessions that we attended were the best. We learned a new game that will be fun if we can get the equipment. I didn't get any pics of the weekend because we were very active participants, it made the time go faster.
Michele lounging in the room. The room was nice and it was great to have the bed to myself!!!
This was the sun peaking through the clouds Saturday night, I thought it was a pretty picture.
homework....
Triston had his first "homework" assignment this weekend. It was a family project to decorate a scarecrow. They are learning about scarecrows this month and the kids scarecrows will be entered into a contest with a variety of categories and the winners of each category will receive a prize. I thought that it was perfect that the boys were going to be at Nana and Grandaddy's this weekend! I sent the homework assignment with Triston so that his Nana and him could have something to do together. I really did get off easy but I knew that mom was a lot more creative than I was and they did a great job. She left some of the scarecrow for us to do at home, which was wonderful of her, and we finished it up this evening. It was fun and I am really glad that mom had already started on it with him. Thanks Nana, your the best!!!! Here is the finished project. I think that it turned out pretty cute!
Full body image. Mom and Triston did most of the body, I added the leaf and the hankie.
We used a real hankie and cute it up for the tie around his neck and the ribbon around his hat. I cut the fur off of one of their stick horses to use as the feathers for the bird. I used yarn for his smile and blush to give his face some color.

IT IS TERRIFIC TO BE 2!!

This is just a reminder of what Trenton looked like on his first birthday. I don't think that he even ate cake this year!
What a great day it turned out to be!!! The weather was absolutely wonderful! It was just warm enough to open the doors in the garage and the kids to play in the bouncy and swing set. It was so much fun watching Trenton with all the excitement going on. We had a great turn out of family and friends and Trenton got a lot of nice new fun toys. Triston was a great big brother helping him open his gifts and help open them. We did run into the problem of Trenton wanting to play with every gift as soon as he opened them and not want to open the next gift. It is going to be real interesting at Christmas. I just want to thank everyone for coming out and helping us celebrate Trenton's 2nd birthday. The food was awesome, thanks to everyone who pitched in there, the cake was so cute and delicious, thanks Emma and Tammy, and the chocolate fountain was once again a big hit, thanks Beth!!! It was a great day and I was so happy that the weather cooperated, thank you God!!!
