Brookdale Farms
On Sunday after church, the boys and I rode with a friend of ours to Brookdale Farms in Keyser. We had a blast! The boys really had a great time and it was great to get them together with kids their own age to play. It was amazing, there was so much for them to do. We played on the playground, had our face painted, jumped in the bouncy, played games, rode bikes.......and got lost in a corn maze. This was my first experience ever in a corn maze and to be honest I am not a big fan. We wandered forever!! I was about to take a short cut through the corn, but we managed, after forever, to make it back to the entrance. We never did make it to the exit. Anyway, it was a lot of fun, enjoy the pics!
Triston posing in the corn maze!
Triston and Easton. Easton is only four and look how much bigger he is!! Oh well, you will get there Triston.
Trenton posing.........have you ever seen children of the corn?

SLEEPOVER!!!
Triston had his first sleepover last night. I took the boys to see Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs last night and then Hunter spent the night. The experience was a lot of fun but the movie was horrible, well for me anyway! I made a huge pile of blankets on the floor for their bed and then Trenton and I slept on the couch. The boys had a lot of fun but Trenton was left out and stuck with me most of the time!

After......
These are just a few pics that I have been able to snap of some of the work that we have done to the house. But these pictures don't begin to do the justice of the time spent. We found the beautiful walkway under five garbage bags of weeds. The blue room is the kids play room and it was covered with wallpaper, which was extremely difficult to remove, Pa painted and the room and sanded and repainted the chair rail. We are thinking about putting down, rubber flooring. Easier to keep clean and safer for our rowdy boys. The colors are a much better combination then the ones before. There is still tons and tons of hours to be put in to complete the house just enough to live in.......PRAYERS PLEASE!!

BEFORE.........

Well....many of you may not know but Josh and I bought a new house. Well, new to us, but it isn't a newly built house. The house went up for auction at the end of August and it was a deal that we couldn't resist. The 8000 square foot home, three car garage, stable, buildings and 80 acres was just too good to be true. We are selling our home to Mandi and Rusty and they need to be in by Nov. 30th to qualify for the new home buyer credit, so needless to say there is a lot of work still to be done. These pics were taken on my first visit to the home. The picture on the bottom with the shelves is the walk-in closet in the master bedroom!! It is fantastic, but the color choices of the previous owner are odd. I have pictures to take of the after but my camera battery was dead today. I will take pics of what we have done so far and post and after post. Stay tuned because I am sure there will be lots to share!!

Move over Betty Crocker...
We have had a pretty lazy weekend, and I am fine with that. Yesterday, I had the bright idea that I was going to make an apple pie. Granted I have never made an apple pie before so I was a little nervous. We have apple trees in our yard that are full of apples so we gathered some up and I made an apple pie, from scratch!! Triston was my little helper. The only thing that I had a hard time with was the crust. The bottom crust worked out great but the top crust...not so much. But I made it work. It wouldn't have won the "prettiest" contest but it did taste good. I had more apples left over so I made an apple crisp for Pappy. I am pretty proud of myself.
