Pizza Party

Last night was Triston's wrestling pizza party and he enjoyed himself. He doesn't still understand that wrestling is over for the season but with him starting tee ball, it should be an easy transition. He had a great time running around with the boys again. He really did make a lot of friends through wrestling. This was also Coach Mike's last season coaching since both of his boys will move into the school program, if there is one, and he has been doing it for 7 years. This was my first experience with extracurricular activities and it was a pretty good jump into what is still to come.

Triston & Robbie showing off there guns!!! Robbie was a big help with Triston and Trenton this season. If nothing else I think that I may have found a few babysitters through wrestling! Robbie was one of the boys whose last season was this year and he was a little sad last night.

Triston & James posing for the camera. The Stanley's were also great to be around this season, I am glad to have met them. The whole family was a lot of fun and the boys just loved them all.

Triston receiving his trophy for all the hard work that he put in this season. That floor is disgustingly dirty!!!

Triston really had a great season and all though he only got one win this season there is always more to come. The only thing that I am concerned with is the fact that he was two medals and three trophies to show for that one win. I guess understanding losing comes later!!!!

STATE CHAMP!?!?!

Well, he isn't the state champ but we sure were proud of Triston on Saturday. He wrestled right off the bat as soon as we got there and I think that he was a little overwhelmed. He went down there and was pinned in about 10 seconds. When he came back up to the stands I fussed at him for not trying and gave him the speech about giving his all and how disappointed I was. Well, get it is exactly what he did. His second match went three regulation rounds and two sudden death rounds and it didn't go in Triston's favor. He lost by two points. I lost my voice I was yelling so lound. Triston was ahead the whole match and then it was tied up and the other boy got take down points in the last second of the second sudden death match. There was only six kids in his bracket so after his second loss he wrestled one more time for fifth and sixth place. This match was also a close one. If you just compare the wrestling, Triston won but he locked his hands twice giving the other kid two points and that is what Triston lost by, two, again! This match also went all three rounds and Triston did give it his all. Trophies were awarded to the top six wrestlers in each class and since there were only six wrestlers, Triston did get a state trophy. This has been such a fun season and I have enjoyed watch Triston learn and get better each time out. The season is over and Triston's final record...well he only got one win but that's ok. Way to go Triston, you are state champ in our eyes.

WISH US LUCK!!!

Well, things have been really hectic lately at the Timbrook Ranch!! Triston was sick for a week, I came down with a horrible sinus headache and now Josh has pink eye. In BOTH eyes!! Anyway, the boys and I are leaving today after school for Fairmont State. Triston has his very last wrestling tournament this weekend. It is states and there will be lots of people there. I hope that he doesn't get too nervous. I will try to get pics posted as soon as we get back on Sunday. Even though we will probably be done early afternoon on Saturday I decided to stay Saturday night as well. I figured the boys will have fun in the pool and relaxing a bit. Oh, and me too!! Thanks for all the love and support the last couple of weeks. Life is bit of a roller coaster and I feel all the prayers working in my favor. Thanks, I love you all!!!!

Happy Birthday, Cat in the Hat!!!

The Lord does work in mysterious ways..and for that I am thankful. I was just stating the other day that I wonder if the kids and teachers at Triston schools even knows he has a mommy. Because of my work schedule I am never able to attend things at the school or pick Triston up. But this morning the snow fall in the Winchester area and no snow in our area changed that for me. Because the cat in the hat turns 50 this week, Triston's school did a dedication week to Dr. Seuss. Today was supposed to be dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss character but I forgot. But when I got home from taking Triston to school I remembered that it was read to me day and I called to see if I could come in. And she called right back and said that I could. I went in to the classroom and read four or five books to the kids before they went to lunch. It was awesome!!! It was just what I needed when things have been rocky!! It put a lot of things that I have overlooked into perspective. Triston was so excited to see me and the kids in the class are so adorable. Of course, they are mostly adorable because I didn't have to stay all day. I know why I teach middle school!! I know that we are going to have to make this snow day up but it was well worth it for me!

we got new doos

The boys got sheared tonight before bath. It is a little shorter than I would have liked but as fast as their hair grows it will be the length I like in no time. The boys sure aren't camera shy either. We were just goofing around and posing and they were hilarious! We hope that everyone had a relaxing weekend!!

Hampshire Home Meet

Triston had his home wrestling meet on Saturday at Hampshire High and it was great to see the huge cheering section. Mom and dad made it up, Larry, Cathy, Mandi, Rusty, Muzzy, Pa, and of course Josh, Trenton and myself. Triston tried really hard and put on a good show for his spectators. Unfortunately, he didn't get a win:0( But he did go three rounds with the second wrestler, who was also his size, just one year older. And of course he wrestled the same little boy that has beat him at every tournament so far. At least Triston is helping his record for seeding at the state tournament!! Mandi and Josh swear that the points were wrong because they say that they put Triston's points for the third round on the other boys score. He would have still lost but if they are right he would have only lost by three instead of nine. Oh well!! I was more upset than Triston, he just wants his trophy. I just know that he can beat some of these kids because he is much stronger than them. He just doesn't pay attention and soon as he looses his focus he is on his back and just doesn't care about getting up. I watched the video five times today and Triston had the second wrestler on his back more times than Triston was on his but he just didn't push for the pin!! It's so frustrating, but he had fun and that is what matters the most, right?

Can you see Triston's little head poking through? 1-2-3-wrestling!

The other teams had to clear the mat and the home team made a special entrance, of course they always line up smallest to biggest so your truly was the leader. They ran around the circle on the mat and than did their stretches.
Triston's push ups sure won't pass the physical fitness requirements!

Let's make sure that neck is good and stretched! I didn't get many pics of the matches because I video taped. I have tried to upload them but it just hasn't worked yet.
